Standard Rate Postage is a discounted rate offered by the
United States Postal Service (USPS). To qualify, you need to
send a minimum of 200 pieces and it needs to be marketing
oriented.
Standard rate postage is close to a $.20 per piece cost
savings compared to first class postage. However, Standard
rate postage has a longer delivery time. The USPS targets a
1-5 day delivery time for first class and a 2-9 day delivery time
for standard mail.
